Bush Must Press For Social Security Reform

One of the funnier aspects of the post-election period has been watching the Left caution Bush against overreaching (i.e., pushing for the implementation of the agenda he was elected on). I submit to you that Bush has a chance to go down in history as a truly great President. He has taken the first step by deposing Saddam Hussein, a task that needed to be done for a long time, but no one (until Bush) had to nerve to do. If he wants to seal the deal, though, he will spend whatever capital it takes to reform Social Security. I believe that this is the right man and the right time, and if we miss this chance, another won't come soon. This blog will post on this issue from time to time as events warrant. We'll start soon with an overview of proposal(s) currently on the table.
