In a followup to my nicely received (thanks for the links, guys!) post on Aljazeera's 'blasphemous' praise of the Pope, I have to say that (at least on their English site - maybe someone that reads Arabic would know about their regular site) they've been quite cordial about the Pope in article after article, going so far as to call him one of the leading figures of the 20th century.
What does it mean? Not much, probably...but it sure beats the alternative...and besides, how many chances do you get to praise Aljazeera?
