A Quiet Victory For the Bush Administration
North Korea has agreed to rejoin the six-party nuclear talks it abandoned more than year ago. That's very good news indeed, and a victory for Bush, who insisted that bilateral talks were out of the question, and stayed firm with that resolve. You may recall this became a campaign issue in 2004, as Kerry endorsed the bilateral approach wrongheadedly, apparently not realizing that this would only reward Kim Jong-il's belligerence and saber rattling.
